Item: 225 Description: Radio Strain: Pyrex Entering Insulator. These are the two halves of a Pyrex Entering Insulator for a Radio Antenna Wire. See Item 93 for an explanation on how these worked. Unlike the glass halves in Item 93, these are quite large. They measure just over 6 inches wide and are about 4.5 inches tall. Each of these is embossed PYREX near the ground-down hole where a brass rod would pass through. See View 2. The embossing is inside the “bowl”.
