Item: 93 Description: Display Set Up for Pyrex Radio Antenna Wire Entering Insulator. The glass bells are small measuring only 2.5 inches across at the base. Each is embossed on the base: PYREX MADE IN USA on one side and a patent number on the other. They would have been used as shown in View 2. Imagine that the top 2X4 is the roof and the bottom 2X4 is the ceiling inside the radio shack. The glass prevents leakage. The antenna wire connects to the brass rod to bring the signal into the building. View 3 is a 1931 Pyrex advertisement for these. In this display, one of the glass bells is Grade A and the other Grade B for a shallow flake that removes the patent number. The display measures 13.5 inches long; 3.5 inches wide by 4.5 inches tall.
