Item: 97 Description: Lightning Rod Insulator. Cross Top. Medium Purple Glass. No Embossing. I guess you could call it a two-tone, as the glass around the base was covered by a metal ring and did not turn as purple. Identified in Stephen Bobb’s Book as LR 129. Crudely formed, the glass in the two halves of the top barely touch. Grade B-Plus: One teeny, paper thin, flake at one end. There was some light grinding, with related teeny flaking, at the factory to remove over-poured glass at the top. There’s also some light staining around the base. The metal ring is included.
