Item: 84 Description: CD 321 Emerald (Prism) (010) Dark Aqua. This insulator is from the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah. The insulators had been used on lines leading to factories that produced salt. This one is lightly alkali stained, but not as severe as most. A collector friend and myself picked up 115 of these in July of 1967, filling our car up. We went back for more in October, but they were all gone by then. Can’t say for sure if I found this insulator or not, but it is possible. A small flake on the bottom of the umbrella seems oddly familiar to me. Grade B-Plus . Estimate: $75 - $100 Open: $45 Price realized: $250 |
