Item: 46 Description: CD 102 “VTS INDUSTRIAL” (010) Ruby Red with HEAVY MILK SWIRLS! Produced by the Village Telephone Supply Industrial Company of Salome, Arizona in the 1970’s. The business was a telecommunications salvage company. Owner Steve Hilsz had these made in South Koreas as a novelty advertising paperweight. 500 were made in red glass. But not many have as much milkiness as this example. View 1 and View 2 are taken with fluorescent lighting. View 3 shows the insulator illuminated by a LED flashlight. Looks like it’s on fire! In View 4, the flashlight beam shines down on the insulator to further demonstrate how opaque the milkiness is. These are identified in the Price Guide in the Special Issue section as SI 102-3.250.
