Item: 372 Description: Sign: German warning sign. Translates as: HIGH VOLTAGE / CAUTION / DANGER TO LIFE. Measures 11.75 inches wide by just under 8 inches tall. This 1920’s era tin sign was mounted inside a substation in Saxonia. Our consignor notes that the sign shows the old version of the arc with a rounded head shape compared to modern arcs which are straight. He notes that old signs were worded Vorsicht (Caution) rather than “Achtung” (Attention) that shows up on reproductions. Estimate: $50 - $75 Open: $30 Price realized: $80 |
