Item: 37 Description: CD 134 Brookfield (Hybrid EIN) Dark Green with Amber Swirls. This is a very interesting insulator. View 3 shows there is no inner skirt, thereby making it a CD 134. The dome, however, looks more like a CD 162. That makes it similar to the (200) EIN, except for the embossing on the reverse. Due to “straw marks” in the glass, all that can be read of the reverse embossing is “EW”, which we presume is part of “NEW YORK”. A backwards “5” is embossed on top the dome like the (048) EIN. The embossing is different than any of the 25 EIN’s listed for a Brookfield CD 134. The insulator weighs 1.5 pounds, which is heavier than a CD 162. The extra weight is likely due to all the dome glass. Grade A-Minus for several minute pin pricks on dome and wire ridge. Estimate: $50 - $75 Open: $30 Price realized: $210 |
