Item: 201 Description: U-223A / U-223B No Markings Two Piece Transposition in White Glaze. Although this insulator came to us from Canada, it is NOT the U-1892 A/B Canadian Style. Note that the umbrella (U-223A) is concave like the US style and not convex like the Canadian (U-1892A). Gish’s Value Guide states only five of these are known and gives a value of $500 - $600. The top is Grade A-Minus as the nibbles around the wire groove are all pre-glazed except for one. The bottom is Grade B-Plus for a production flaw in the wire groove, a “bruise” at the top of the pin hole (visible in View 3); and a shallow annealing line in the glaze above the wire groove.
