Item: 182 Description: CD 134 C. E.L. (020) Super Fizzy Jade-Like with Black Glob in Dome. This is one of the crudely formed Pennycuick styles. There’s evidence of a blot out in the wide space between the “C” and the “E”. Usually, jade-colored examples are created by milkiness. But in this case, the color is influenced by hundreds of tiny bubbles. In View 3, the insulator is illuminated with a LED flashlight to show off the abundance of bubbles. Grade C: View 1 shows a small flake on the lower wire ridge. View 2 shows a large skirt chip & bruise. There’s also a small bruise on the upper wire ridge. There are two natural imperfections… potstones that cooled at a different rate than the rest of the glass causing small radiating annealing lines. One is in the center of the wire groove in View 2; and the other is behind the black glob. In spite of being in average condition, this is a fun insulator with lots of character.
