Item: 113  Description: Communications Equipment: This candlestick is NOT a telephone but a Vintage Microphone. There’s a switch on the side that says, PRESS TO TALK. Technically it is a T-32 Microphone of the type manufactured under contract with the Signal Corp for use in military communications in World War Two. The base is marked, “M F P / Tropicalized 1945”. Tropicalized means it was designed to be used in a tropical (humid) environment. The schematics inside say it was made by K.I. & S. Company of Chicago. Similar items on eBay are priced from $79 to $175, but I did not find any microphones made by this particular company. Neither could I find any history about this manufacturer. Obviously it is much scarcer than T-32 microphones made by the Kellogg company. View 3 shows the “guts”. Very Fine Condition.
